Before
we started with a family, we decided to take that one trip
that we'd be less likely to take once children are in the
picture. After watching "The Making Of" from the
Lord of the Rings series, we decided that we both would really
like to visit New Zealand.
On
December 16, 2006 we left LA for a 1-month trip to Australia,
New Zealand and Fiji. We would fly from place to place in
Australia, travel by motorcycle in New Zealand and kick back
on Fiji. In preparation for the trip we got our motorcycle
license in March and 4 days prior to departure we became certified
open water divers (our first stop would be the Great Barrier
Reef...).
Marieke
called this trip the 2nd Honeymoon, while David referred to
it as "The Last Hurrah". On the following pages
you'll be able to read our travel diary and view our photos.
It may seem like many, but hey, we narrowed it down from 3,000,
so really, keep it in perspective.
Needless
to say, we had an AMAZING time, but check it out for yourself.
